Itinerary: Day One Victoria, BC
Depart Vancouver and "flight see" over this beautiful city with its surrounding mountains, sea inlets and Fraser River Delta. We make our way across the Georgia Strait and its many islands to Vancouver Island. We land right in the Inner Harbour, a short walk across to the Empress Hotel another 5 star hotel, situated in the heart of Victoria, BC's capital city.
After our checking in formalities, we will be driven by limousine to the spectacular Butchart Gardens, through the city and beautiful country side. After our return to the Empress Hotel, English Tea is waiting for us in the beautiful lobby. The ambience is said to be "more English than England itself". After our delicious English Tea, there is time for your own leisure activities. You can walk to the Parliament Buildings right across the hotel or visit the magnificent Provincial Museum situated next to the hotel. A ride in one of the horse carriages through the old part of the city is a romantic experience. At 7.30 p.m., we are driven by limousine to a first class restaurant, which features an extensive menu from fresh cod fish to the tenderest of steak. After this wonderful dinner we return to the hotel and we can relax in our rooms or in the many facilities of the hotel.
